Welcome to Mercer's Compensation Management Index (CMI)

The objectives of the CMI are to give you a quick, easy and free measure of the effectiveness of your compensation management arrangements.

The index takes 5-10 minutes to complete and only asks for information or opinions that are normally at the front of most compensation professionals' minds. Most of the questions are self-explanatory. However we also provide definitions of the terms we are using. Once your responses are submitted your data will be analysed and a report will be sent within a few minutes. Please note that we can only analyse a complete response to the questions so most of the fields in the index are mandatory.

Your responses will remain entirely anonymous and the information will be held in confidence. However we would like to use the data you provide to continue our research into compensation management practices in Europe. By entering your responses into the index you are accepting our terms of participation.

Please use the Back and Next buttons at the bottom of each page to navigate the survey. Do not use the buttons in your browser's toolbar because your responses may not be recorded.

Should you encounter any problems in completing the index please email David.Wreford@mercer.com for help.

Confidentiality and data protection: Each party to this Agreement is likely to disclose information and advice to the other party in the course of this "assignment" (namely this research or any further analysis). The party receiving the information ("the receiving party") will not divulge or communicate such information to any person, other than a person whose business requires that person to have the information to enable the assignment to be progressed. This restriction does not apply to information which the receiving party must by law disclose, or to information which is either already in the public domain or enters the public domain through no fault of the receiving party.

You ("the Client") agree that Mercer will be entitled to disclose information relating to the Services or the Client to regulators and otherwise as required by law. The Client also agrees that, notwithstanding the provisions of the previous paragraph, Mercer may disclose the identities of the Client's nominated contacts and information about the terms of this Agreement to any holding company of Mercer or any subsidiary of any holding company of Mercer ("a Mercer group company") whether in the European Economic Area or elsewhere. The Client will ensure that any nominated contact who does not wish to be contacted about other services provided by any Mercer group company is aware that he or she should advise the Client's usual Mercer consultant accordingly. The Client also agrees that Mercer may use information provided by the Client and Mercer's other clients to build databases for internal use by Mercer staff; these databases are intended to benefit all clients by improving the quality of Mercer's advice, but Mercer will not disclose them to any third party in a manner which allows particular clients or individuals to be identified.

This Agreement is made on the basis that each party is entitled to assume that the other has complied and will continue to comply with its obligations arising from the data protection and privacy laws in force from time to time to the extent that those obligations are relevant to this Agreement.

To the extent that Mercer processes personal data on behalf of the Client, Mercer confirms that it will act only on the instructions of the Client or someone authorised by the Client for this purpose. Mercer also confirms that it has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures against unauthorised or unlawful processing of personal data and against accidental loss or destruction of, or damage to, personal data.

Other terms and conditions: This Agreement supersedes and replaces any existing agreement between us relating to the subject-matter of this Agreement. It shall not be amended except by the written agreement of both parties.

This Agreement will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the law of England and Wales and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts.

Mercer LLC ensures all data collected in this questionnaire will be deemed confidential. The data will be incorporated into Mercer's Database and utilized to produce aggregated statistics and analyses for various reports, including custom analyses.
